California IRP fleet renewal help

A California IRP renewal updates the fleet for a new registration year using the carrier, vehicle, distance, insurance, tax, and authorization records required for that account. California registration credentials

Licensed California registration service and IRP ICP participant

MANN REGISTRATION INC maintains the California registration credentials needed for its services and participates in DMV's Interstate Carrier Program for eligible California IRP transactions. License numbers are not published on this website.

Independent private registration service - not a California DMV office. DMV rules, documents, fees, account conditions, inventory, and system status control each transaction.

What is reviewed during an IRP renewal

The carrier record, fleet structure, vehicle list, weights, jurisdiction distance, USDOT responsibility, titles or leases, insurance, HVUT evidence, and account standing should be reviewed before submission. Renewing unchanged errors can create incorrect credentials or later audit problems.

Schedules and distance records

Use the current DMV renewal instructions and schedules for the account. Actual distance for the reporting period should come from supportable trip records. New operations or missing history require the treatment allowed by current DMV and IRP rules; estimates should never be invented.

Add or delete vehicles during renewal

A renewal can be the right point to remove vehicles no longer in the fleet and add qualifying replacements or new units. Each addition still needs ownership or lease, vehicle, weight, USDOT, HVUT, and other evidence applicable to that unit. Credential surrender or a statement may be required for deletions.

Insurance, Form 2290, and authorization

California insurance records and Form 2290 Schedule 1 evidence must match the applicable vehicle and period. When Mann acts as the registration-service agent, the current annual authorization required for that relationship must be completed.

Fees, penalties, late renewals, and credential timing

Government fees and Mann service fees are separate. Starting after expiration can leave vehicles without current credentials and may add operational risk; neither an intake request nor a pending renewal authorizes operation. Same-day issuance may be available only after the eligible renewal is complete.

What Mann does—and what the agency decides

Mann Registration can help collect facts, prepare filings, organize records, and track follow-up. Mann is an independent private service provider, not California Department of Motor Vehicles, and cannot approve an application, change an agency record without the required process, give legal or tax advice, or guarantee timing or results.

Frequently asked questions

How early should I start a California IRP renewal?

Start when the renewal packet is available and well before expiration. Record corrections, vehicle changes, missing tax evidence, holds, fees, or special review can require additional time.

Can I add or remove trucks during renewal?

Yes, eligible fleet changes can often be coordinated with renewal, but each transaction needs the applicable vehicle and credential records.

Does a submitted renewal let the truck operate after expiration?

No. A request or pending transaction is not a current credential. Confirm completed registration and issued credentials before operation.

Can Mann issue renewal stickers and cab cards?

Mann can issue permitted credentials for eligible completed transactions through its ICP participation, subject to inventory and DMV conditions.
