Annual filing guide

UCR registration deadline and renewal checklist

Unified Carrier Registration is an annual calendar-year registration for covered interstate entities. The official UCR system publishes the current registration period, fee tiers, participating jurisdictions, and filing instructions; verify the current year before paying or operating.

Confirm that the entity and year are correct

Use the legal entity and USDOT record. Determine whether the operation falls within UCR and which year or years require action.

Reconcile the fleet tier before filing

For motor carriers, review the official fleet-count method and the current USDOT record rather than selecting a lower tier without support. Brokers and other entities use the applicable official category.

Avoid unofficial notices and duplicate payment

Verify the official record before responding to solicitations. Retain receipts and record who filed, when, for which entity, and for which registration year.

What Mann does—and what the agency decides

Mann Registration can help collect facts, prepare filings, organize records, and track follow-up. Mann is an independent private service provider, not Unified Carrier Registration Plan and participating states, and cannot approve an application, change an agency record without the required process, give legal or tax advice, or guarantee timing or results.
